CytoPoint by Zoetis: Information for Johnson Vet Services Clients
Cytopoint is an injection once every 4-6 weeks for itching in dogs. It’s got none of the steroid side effects and has not been shown to cause cancer in patients like Apoquel has. So, I’m recommending that my clients leave Prednisone for skin problems, and to consider Cytopoint as a super alternative to what they’re reading about Apoquel. But I can’t reach everyone. so here it is; my outreach to make people understand that Apoquel is a poor choice.
That Cytopoint is the answer to Steroids, and Apoquel.
I touch on the subject that both Apoquel and Cytopoint come from the same company. One is an atrocity worthy of a mighty class-action lawsuit, and the other is effective and seems to be very safe. But they’ll sell both, because corporate decision-makers and marketing weasels hide behind the moral veil of “the stockholders” and pretend to be blind.
