Mainly this is an article about how to create “Cortrisporin” at home. You get 15 grams of Cortrisporin by prescription for $65 at the human pharmacy or for certain things you can make it at home. I’d not recommend it for use IN THE EYE but for inflamed lesions and creases, yeah you could.
It’s just a half and half mixture of Original Recipe NeoSporin and then Maximum Strength Cortizone-10
Some care should be taken to NOT GET the “Cortizone 10 for Excema” or “Cortizone-10 for Psoriasis” because they put extra crap in there which most pets won’t benefit from. You just want the PLAIN CORTIZONE TEN.
Same for the NeoSporin. You don’t want all the extras added to it. Just PLAIN original NeoSporin.
All you do is mix these two ointments fifty-fifty in a little jar or container and use that as you would any healing / anti-inflammatory cream. I think you should use it on lesions that are appropriate for that. I’ll usually recommend this when it’s prudent. Whatever uses YOU make up for it, is on you! :uD
