Buddy

  • Failure to respond when called
  • “buddy” inconsistently used
  • Runs away off leash, pees on the floor when put down.
  • Cannot or will not climb or descend stairs
  • Runs away from me when it’s time to crate up
  • Lives in a crate because he’s destructive and chews on everything.
  • Lives in the crate because he is not housebroken.
  • Lives in the crate because when you need him, he is hiding under something.
  • Cannot go outside without a leash because he runs away to explore the neighbors yard.
  • Therefore, based on all of the above, he can only go outside with a leash on, or be carried literally everywhere. It is exhausting to do your world with one arm tied behind your back“
  • He cannot be in the bed because he pees spontaneously.
  • He cannot be in the house because he pees spontaneously and he is destructive. And there are allergies at the house.
  • He does not like to kiss. I have discovered that is huge. In fact, he is not very demonstrative besides playfulness, he’s not very demonstrative with typical in your face dog affection.
  • I acknowledge my responsibility for most of the above because I did not raise him the way a person would raise a dog if they were younger and had lots of spare time.
  • Someone might mention that he will not be destructive throughout his life. But a key point is, it is not my house to discover that is or isn’t true..
  • But he has a few good things for him.
  • He never poops in his crate.
  • He absolutely will let you know when he is going to pee in his crate.
  • He loves to play.
  • He is appreciative of playtime. He is not in the least bit fussy about his food.
  • He eats once a day in the morning without getting an upset stomach.
  • Almost certainly, this is the reason he never wakes you up to go to the bathroom at night.
  • He doesn’t bark. Some dogs go the fuck off whenever someone knocks on the door or he thinks “someone is there.”
  • The part of his brain that causes snappy or defensive behavior is undeveloped presently.
  • He is not, and has never been mouthy. There has never been any reason to teach him “no bite!“ To keep his mouth off your hands.
  • He is not food motivated and does not beg meaning that obesity is not some sort of automatic problem for him.
  • He has spent the majority of every day of his life in a crate, and resigned himself quickly, instead of attempting escape or bawling the whole time.
  • Comes with free veterinary care.
  • Besides genetic deformities, he is in excellent health.
