Atlas, Oh Atlas!

(Verse 1)
Once upon a time in a little town,
Lived a giant tortoise with a heart worn down.
every place he went, they’d say, “He’s too large,
He’ll munch all my flowers, oh, through my fence he’ll charge.”
So from home to home, he was passed around,
A wandering giant, a home to be found.

(Chorus)
Atlas, oh Atlas, where do you belong?
With so many folks trying, how can it be wrong?
A spirit so gentle, and demands so few,
Waiting for someone to take me, someone just like you.

(Verse 2)
A family tried once, they thought he might stay,
His shelter’s too big, it’s just in the way!
So packed in a crate, off he went with a sigh,
With each new goodbye, oh, he wondered why.

(Chorus)
Atlas, oh Atlas, where do you belong?
With so many folks trying, how can it be wrong?
A spirit so gentle, and demands so few,
Waiting for someone to take me, someone just like you.

(Bridge)
Then came Bree’ah and Erik, with smiles warm and wide,
They saw through the shell, they saw love inside.
Now he roams in a corral, under bright starlit skies,
With the safety of fences and big salad piles.
No more moving around, no more being alone,
Atlas has found a place he can call home.

(Chorus)
Atlas, oh Atlas, now you’ve found your home,
With Bree’ah and Erik, in your own Atlas Zone.
A spirit so gentle, and demands so few,
Finely found someone to take him, finely with these two.

(Outro)
So here’s to the giant, who waited so long,
After so many “KNOWS”, a place to be long.
Atlas, dear Atlas, may your days be bright,
In the care of these two people, everything feels right.
