I suddenly Lost my dog, he was Ajax
I lost him on a Saturday
He was fine one day and dead the next.
He didn’t suffer at least I get to say.
Liver Cancer Took Him Early
It’s a hidden and disastrous kind of Cancer
He bled a little and his tummy hurt.
The ultrasound gave us the answer.
Everyone Loved Him at work and at home.
his gentleness and glossy black hair
He was always wagging his tail,
That was how he made friends, everywhere
He had a bunch of Nicknames:
Ajey, Widdle Mannnn, Ajey Way G, and Ajax Mannnn
He came when you said them all,
Each one he came to Understand
Ajax Was My Constant Companion
Round town and off to work he went with me
Best dog that you could ever want.
The best one God could ever gift me.
When he was a puppy he Survived Parvo
Almost died in a week with that Disease
I gave him every kind of good care,
I even looked skyward, and Said please
[Chorus]
Ajax really left a Mark,
And he didn’t even Bark.
Looking at his toys and things,
Brings dull pain that is so dark.
I found a collar at the store,
I think he would have liked,
But no one needs that now he’s gone,
He’d like to worn it when we hiked.
He Was With Me Through Two Divorces
He wagged through times Thick and thin
Things were a bit more tolerable,
A give and take of Kindness within
He Was Always Locking Eyes With Me
His eyes were wise and dole full,
We could regard each other for hours
And he always kept my Soul full.
He Seemed Wiser Than He was
His expressive big brown eyes
His wordless opinions and sage advice,
Gave the impression of being wise.
Ajax came off Craigslist,
A Black “Everydog” Lab and Bully
He was the Best one fifty I ever spent,
If you met him you understood fully
